Description

The British group Arena announced on 16 November 2006 that the manufacturing plant of swimming suits in Libourne, south-west of France, will close down at the end of March 2007. Currently 250 employees work at the site. Between January and March 2007 at least 169 employees will lose their jobs. Some of them will be leaving the company and others will be offered advanced retirement. Only some sales people will keep their jobs. The reason behind this decision is the transfer of activities to China due to lower costs.
