European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Alfonso Gallardo, a Spanish company from the region of Extremadura, has started talks with the Regional Government of Catalonia in order to open up a factory of steel coils for cars and electrical appliances in Tarragona.
The negotiations are not finished and it is not sure yet whether the factory will be located in Tarragona. But the location is interesting for the company because it provides close access to the harbour of the city, through which it would receive its raw materials. The investment would reach 500 million euro and would create 500 jobs.
