Keranis, the tobacco company, has been facing economic difficulties since 2005. In June 2006, the company's management has decided to suspend the production and dismiss its 145 employees. Some efforts have been made to prevent the company from the worst scenario by investing additional capital in it, but according to the latest information such efforts were not successful.
