European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
US multinational pharmaceutical company, Merck & Co, is to invest 100 million euro in the expansion of its plant in County Tipperary, which will create 120 jobs, including 60 in research and development over the next three years. The group's operation in Tipperary was established in 1976 and the plant is involved in manufacturing ingredients for a number of products, including asthma treatment, Singulair and osteoporosis drug, Fosamax.
