Description
On 2 November 2006, the chemical company BASF, which employed in 2005 about 45,600 people in Germany, announced another cost-saving programme which will lead to the cut of about 2,000 of its current 94,000 jobs worldwide. According to a newspaper report "more than 300 jobs" will be cut in Germany.
