Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Swedish Integration Board (Integrationsverket), located in Norrköping, will be closed down on 1 July 2007. Some 110 jobs are going to be cut.
The announcement was made as the new Swedish government published its budget for the coming year on 16 October 2006. This decision is part of plan aiming at making the public sector more effective.
Since it was founded in 1998, the tasks of the Integtration Board have been to monitor the integration policy, to promote integration and to prevent and counteract ethnic discrimination and racism. The governement has announced that it will go through the tasks of the board and determine the activities that will be taken over by other authorites.
