Description

Fournier, a manufacturer of basic pharmaceutical products owned by the Belgian group Solvay, announced on 3 February 2006 that it would cut 400 jobs in France. On 23 October 2006 the company announced the cuts of further 30 to 50 jobs in France before the end of February 2007. Certain activities could be transferred to Ireland and the Netherlands. The R&D site in Dijon is to remain in any case. Fournier currently employs 880 people.
