Up to 250 jobs are to be created when supermarket chain Tesco opens its first store in County Fermanagh. The multi-million pound development, on the Dublin Road in Enniskillen, is due to open by next autumn. It will have parking for about 400 cars.
Tesco said it would be sourcing more than 1,500 products from Northern Ireland, including meat, poultry and dairy products.
Richard Murphy, project manager for Tesco in Northern Ireland, said: 'We are very excited about our first store in County Fermanagh and look forward to bringing an exciting mix of Tesco brand and well-known brands to Enniskillen.'
Councillor Frank Britton said the supermarket would add to the town's reputation as a 'retail hub' for the area, as well as providing employment opportunities.
