Description
On 5 October 2006, the largest retail company in the Czech Republic, Tesco, will open its new hypermarket in Písek where 200 people will find their jobs. Tesco also announced it would open another 3 supermarkets in the region (Bechyně, Veselí nad Lužnicí, Vodňany) and hire 100 people there by the end of 2006. Overall, Tesco has 77 shops in the country and employs roughly 12,800 people.
