Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The call centre company Arvato, part of the German group Bertelsman announced on 3 October 2006 the opening up of their sixth center in France, in the city of Le Havre (Seine Maritime). The centre is to open before the end of the year 2007 and it is expected to create 300 jobs.
Arvato will invest 3 million euro in this project, as a result of the strong growth in the sector. It has envisaged a training plan that will provide each employee with 175 hours coaching. Arvato's clients include France Télécom-Orange, SFR, Air France and Frequence Plus (Air France), and TPS, among others.
