Description
More than 300 workers are to lose their jobs at poultry firm Castlemahon Foods, based in Limerick. Provisional liquidator Kieran Wallace of KPMG confirmed on 2 October 2006 that the company will be wound down over the coming five to six weeks.
The company had already cut 150 jobs in February 2005 due to competition in the market and rising operating costs.
