Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In September 2006, it was reported that India's No.2 software company Infosys Technologies, operating in the Czech Republic since September 2005, was expanding its facility in Brno to boost its ability to deliver services to European customers. The expanded facility was to employ 350 people by January 2007.
On 25 April 2007, the company announced, that the current staff of 200 people is being doubled. Infosys with 400 staff in Brno will deliver business process outsourcing services such as sales order management, finance and accounts, market research and underwriting for clients in 16 European countries.
