Description

Express transport company DHL ExpressÂ’ subsidiary Kelpo Kuljetus started personnel negotiations concerning 250 drivers. The plan is to cut the amount of drivers by 50 per cent. According to DHL the grounds for negotiations is a substantial decrease in deliveries.

DHL emphasizes that some of the reductions will be made through pension arrangements, transfers to new positions and other solutions.

In the beginning of September 2006, DHL and Finland Post agreed on a business acquisition by which DHL bought out Finland Post's 49% of shares in Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy, the jointly owned domestic transport company, rendering Kelpokuljetus a fully-owned DHL subsidiary.
