100 new jobs are being created at Scottish and Southern Energy's headquarters in Perth, the firm announced on 15 September 2006. The new jobs will be based in Scottish and Southern's customer service centre. Chief operating officer Colin Hood said:
'We believe local people have the skills we need to take our company forward.'
The energy company currently employs more than 1,000 staff in Perth.
