Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The group Chevallier, with 600 employees in 25 sites in France, announced on 14 September 2006 the construction of 143,000 square meters (40 hectares)of warehouses in the port and the industrial zone in Fos sur Mer, in the south of France, near Marseilles. In the new warehouse of Massilia Distrilogis Chevallier, 350 jobs are expected to be created between January 2008 and December 2009. The total investment will reach 90 million euro and should enable Massilia Distrilogis Chevallier to expand its storage capacities in order to meet the needs for its increased activity in the south of France.
