Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

More than 140 jobs are to be lost under a rationalisation plan at Lakeland Dairies plants in Monaghan, Louth, Cavan and Longford. As announced on 13 September 2006, the co-operative plans to cut costs by closing its milk-drying operations in Monaghan, as well as its agri-stores in a number of locations. The company is the second-largest milk processor in the state.
The trade union SIPTU has called on the Government to introduce a support package for workers losing their jobs.
