Description
Maseko is one of the oldest fishing factories in newly independent Estonia with 545 employees. The product outputs consist of various canned, salted and smoked fish as well as preserves, herring roe, fish flour, etc. The fish factory in Pärnu had been functioning for 65 years altogether (from 1994 on as a subunit of Maseko)before the closure in 2006, when it employed 120 people. The firm continues processing fish in Tallinn, Narva and Virtsu. Despite the decrease in quantities of products the company is still one of the biggest fish factories in Estonia.
