Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French manufacturer of kitchens and bathrooms, Manuest, which employs 385 people in the east of France, announced on 6 September 2006 that the company had recruited 65 new employees since 1 September 2006. The firm, which is part of the Vogica Group, will employ 450 people in total and will invest EUR 1.5 million before the end of 2006 in equipment in order to meet the increase in the number of orders.
