Description
Slovak Decodom Company, which has been established in 1998, is one of the most famous furniture producers in Slovakia. Decodom produces different sorts of furniture, but it is best known for kitchens. Around 75% of the final production is exported to EU countries. Currently the company has approximately 1,000 employees in its production plant in Topolčany. In 2005, the average wage there was around SKK 19,000 (national average was SKK 17,274). The Decodom management decided to expand its production and plans to invest around SKK 200 million in order to establish a new assembly plant. This will create 400 new jobs. According to the available information, Decodom management did not ask for a state aid for the investment.
