Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The group Aker Yards from Norway, owning the shipbuilding units Braila and Tulcea, signed the eighth contract in this year. With this signing the number of ships that will be produced in the next two years amounts to 12, of a total value of EUR 320 million. The shipyard will utilise its full production capacity. As a result, the number of employees of the shipbuilding unit Braila will increase this year by 145 (from 2,100 in 2005 to 2,245 in 2006).
