European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Panevėio aurida is one of the biggest manufacturers of compressors for motor vehicles in Lithuania. The company produces one- and two-cylinder mobile air-compressors. At the moment 230 people are employed in the company. The compressors are made for trucks, buses, tractors and other motor vehicles. The company exports its products to Russia, Ukraine and other countries. Presently Panevėio aurida is planning to start the production of new quality compressors, which will be used for Western European motor vehicles and intends to employ 170 new workers. According to the administration of the company, it will be very problematic to find new workers for the company because there is a shortage of such specialists in this region.
