Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The IT company UIQ, located in Ronneby, develops operating systems for mobile phones. It is currently undergoing an expansion phase that, as it was announced on 21 August 2006, will lead to the take-up of 320 employees worldwide over the next three years. The investments, which will bring the overall staff number to 600, will partly be carried out in Ronneby, where some 100 jobs are expected to be created. Job opportunities will also be created in the United Kingdom (London) and in the United States (California) in order to allow UIQ to develop support activities with partner companies.
