Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The chairman of Polskie Radio, the national radio producer and broadcaster, has unveiled a restructuring programme designed to shed excess jobs. In the course of the coming 12 months, Polskie Radio will be letting go 20% of its total workforce, some 300 persons.
In January 2007, Polskie Radio announced that redundancies in its organisation may extend to as many as 445 employees.
According to information released on 21 March 2007 the trade unions agreed for redundandies of 295 persons. At the same time from January 2007 Polskie Radio employed 60 new workers.
