Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Zelmer, Poland's largest producer of vacuum cleaners and similar household appliances, plans to let go 130 employees of its Rzeszów factory (out of a workforce of 2350). The collective dismissals will take place in the period of 16 September and 16 October 2006. It is hoped that these redundancies will reduce labour costs and render the company more competitive
