Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cereal manufacturing company Cereal Partners UK has announced the creation of 100 new jobs in Wiltshire as part of a business expansion. 50 jobs will be created in Staverton as part of the firm's expansion of its manufacturing operations, whilst another 50 posts will be created at a new purpose-built distribution centre by the A350 at Melksham. The company first revealed that production would be moved to Staverton when it announced last September that its Shreddies plant at Welwyn Garden City, Herts, was to close in 2007. The new jobs are full-time and will range from factory technicians and engineers to managerial staff.
