European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 8 August 2006, MLP, a German financial services supplier for private customers, said that the company wants to expand its international staff of 2500 by about 500 sales managers in 2006, but has been facing difficulties to find new employees. The company rejects speculations that this might be due to financial irregularities on part of management which damaged MLP's image in 2002. After a change in management, MLP will focus on retirement arrangements, rapidly expand its sales staff and improve further training.
