The Flemish energy provider Luminus announced on 7 August 2006 its plans to open up a call centre in Liège. This responds to its aim to integrate the Walloon market. On 1 January 2007 the Belgian electricity market will be liberalized. In view to integrate the Walloon market, Luminus will establish a call center in Liège. About 150 people will be hired in order to answer customers questions.
