Description

TRW, the automobile component manufacturer, wants to initiate talks with the board of the Special Economic Zone in Katowice in order to expand the zone by some 8 hectares. TRW is looking to invest USD 35 million and hire another 600 employees for its two existing factories as well as several dozen more for a new engineering centre to be added to its Częstochowa facility. In the Special Economic Zone in Katowice there are two TRW factories: in Czechowice and in Gliwice. In the factory in Gliwice TRW employed 300 people in 2004.
