Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Consumer products giant Procter & Gamble has marked the fifth anniversary of its move to a Tyneside site with the announcement of 130 new jobs. P&G's Global Business Service Centre has been at Cobalt Business Park, in North Tyneside, since 2001. The site provides finance, employee and procurement services for P&G in more than 46 countries. It marked the date with a street party for its 700 staff and the news of the 130 new jobs over the next year. The new jobs will predominantly be within the finance group.
