European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Affimet has announced that it will cut 127 jobs in the site of aluminium recycling in Oise, in the north of Paris, before the end of the year 2006. The Oise site employs 212 people. It is argued that the CEO would have made this decision because the company could be sold in the next months to the English group RecovCo. The trade unions are anxious because Affimet Oise has EUR 15 million of losses.
