Nextiraone France, a manufacturer of television and radio transmitters and apparatus for line telephony, has announced the closure of 19 sites in France. The company, previously called 'Alcatel Réseaux d'Entreprise', employs 1,800 people and it is owned by Dutch ABN AMRO since June 2006. The closures are expected to cut 322 jobs between October 2006 and July 2007 throughout France. The CEO of Nextiraone France has informed the trade unions that the closures respond to a 'reorganisation plan'.
