Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Freescale Semiconductor expanded its activity in Romania by opening a software centre in Bucharest where it shall develop software applications for equipments intended for communication infrastructures and mobile platforms 2G and 3G.
According to the General Manager of Freescale in Romania, Adrian Purcarea, the value of the investment “is of six figures”. The new unit disposes of an area of 5,000 square meters and will create 200 new jobs, a number that shall yet increase significantly by the end of the year. As result the number of specialists employed at Freescale in Romania will reach about 400.
The company is on the Romanian market for six years now, its main field of activity being the supply of semiconductors.
