Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Schneider électric SA (22,000 employees in France; 88,870 employees in the world), the manufacturer of equipment for electric distribution, has announced that the group has decided to adopt a new organization which will enable it to focus more on its strategic activities. The group will concentrate the activities in some countries and in particular, in Eastern Europe. Headquartered in France, the Group is present in around 130 countries worldwide. At the end of 2006, 688 employment will be cut.
