Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Würth group, a German distributor of professional products of tools, announced on 29 June 2006 its plans to open its twelfth site in France, a 15,000 square metre unit in Montélimar (Drôme). The company is expecting to create 125 new jobs in 2007.
In February 2007 the company announced that instead of the 125 jobs initially planned 300 jobs will be created before the end of 2007.
The Würth Group has 52,000 employees in more than 80 countries and a sales turnover of 7 billion Euros in 2005.
