Description
Nokian Tyres, the largest tyre manufacturer in the Nordic countries, intends to build a new plant near the city Valašské Meziříčí with a total investment of 300 million euro. The plant with the production capacity of 8 million tyres a year will generate 900 new jobs. However, this huge foreign investment is under threat because of citizen protests. The final decision should be made by the end of September 2006.
