Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Baltijos Aktima, who specializes in the production of beer pouring systems in Lithuania, intends to enter a new field providing recreational facilities and build waters complex in Palanga, one of the most popular recreation towns in a country. There will be a rehabilitation centre and sanatoriums, using mineral water and mud baths, hotel, conference hall, restaurant and other recreation places in the complex. It is planned to finish the construction of the complex by the end of 2006 and, according to the administration of the company, 150 new workers will be employed there. Now Baltijos Aktima owns three subsidiaries in Lithuania and one in Riga, Latvia. Ten people are employed in the company in total.
