Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French group Astek (1,850 employees in the world), specialized in the consultancy business services on the information systems, has announced the creation of 2,300 new jobs in the world between July 2006 and January 2007. This jobs will be created in the 11 French agencies and in six other countries: Spain, UK, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Island Maurice and Lebanon, where the group has just opened up an agency. 95% of new employees will be engineers, 25% of which will be juniors from 'high schools' and universities.
