Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
More than 300 jobs could be created at a new £14m agricultural equine centre to be built in Darlington by project management firm Linlathen Developments. The firm operates the town's current farmers auction market and hopes to make use of existing farm land when building the site. The new centre would be at Humbleton Farm on the A68, ensuring heavy livestock vehicles would not have to travel through the town centre. It is hoped the complex will be ready by 2008, subject to planning approval.
