European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Liebherr-Hausgeräte Marica EOOD will expand its factory in Bulgaria till 2008. The planned investment amounts to BGN 70 million. This will create 800 new jobs in the factory, said Mr Hristo Georgiev, economic director of Liebherr-Hausgeraete Marica EOOD. The factory manufactures large and varied high-quality refrigerators and freezers for domestic and commercial use. In 2005, Liebherr produced 351,000 refrigerators and freezers in Bulgaria, 90% of them were exported to Western Europe. The main competitors of Liebherr in Bulgaria are the middle and high price products of Zanussi, Whirlpool, Siemens etc.
