Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 29 May, Real-Hypermarket Romania, the company that operates the Real Hypermarkets network on the local market, announced it would hire another approximately 2,000 people by the end of this year, as it is due to expand its already existing network by another six stores. „Construction work for the stores in Constanta, Oradea and Sibiu are already in full swing. By the end of the year, another three stores are to be opened in important economic centres, with Bucharest being among them. We will create jobs, around 300 for each store, as well as jobs to fill positions at our headquarters”, stated Ramona Toma, manager of Recruitment, Training and Personnel Development of the Real-Hypermarket Romania.
