The Pekaes group, one of the largest overland transport operators in Poland, is set to undergo thorough restructuring. The seven companies presently making up the group will be pared down to five; Pekaes will also refresh its motor pool and increase its usable warehouse space by four times. The total cost of these various restructuring measures is estimated at EUR 3.2 million. The restructuring will also result in the shedding of 100 jobs out of a present workforce of 1,831 persons.
