Slovak producer of electronic components for TV tubes Vidox stoped the production in its plant in Nižná nad Oravou. According to the local trade union organisation chair Mr Marián Cvanciger, around 300 employees were dismissed there. Most of them have problems with getting some job in the region with high unemployment. Radical reduction of production in Vidox plant was caused by decreased demand for clasical TV tubes to which the plant produced components. Its main customer was the Czech CTC Company in Rožňov pod Radhoštem that finished the production of such tubes.
