Description
The satellite TV company, Sky, is to create 600 jobs in Scotland. They include 350 call centre posts at a new contact centre in Uddingston, Lanarkshire, and 250 technical jobs at the firm's site in Dunfermline, Fife. Sky has based its customer operation headquarters in Scotland since 1989 when it launched with just 12 workers. It now employs about 6,000 staff. Recruitment has begun and new centres are being built in both areas which are due to open in July. The new Lanarkshire centre is being built at the Tannochside Business Park.
