Description
On 10 april 2006, both employees and the union FNV Bondgenoten agreed with the social plan that accompanies the closure of Klöckner Pentaplast (chemicals). The closure of the factory in Weert had been announced in November 2005 and will result in the loss of 250 jobs. The Weert factory, which is specialised in producing packaging films, as well as polyester applications, has lost a multiple of 10 million euros in 5 years. This is the reason the parent company wants to relocate the production to Germany and Spain.
