Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The electronics manufacturing services company Flextronics will close down its factory in Haapajärvi by next autumn, according to newspaper Keskipohjanmaa. The factory employs 120 persons. Flextronics will start personnel negotiations on 7 April 2006.
According to the official announcement, production in Haapajärvi will be closed down for financial and production reasons. Flextronics is the biggest electronics manufacturing services company in the world.
