European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Vestfrost,the Danish freezer/refrigerator manufacturer,in Esbjerg will relocate a part of the production to Turkey. Between 150-175 workplaces wil be afftected. The relocation, mainly the production of refrigerators, will take place from late summer 2006 until end of February 2007. The shop steward and the management are establishing jobcentres at the plant and a special 'spouse agreement' will secure that married couples are not both dismissed.
