Description

Moravan-Aeroplanes, a Czech aircraft manufacturer with a long tradition (since 1934) in the production of ZLIN all-metal training, aerobatic, utility and touring aircraft, has been undergoing bankruptcy proceedings since 2004. Administrator of assets has put the company up for sale. As the fate of the company in Otrokovice was uncertain, all 190 jobs were at risk.

On 21 December 2006 newspaper reported that the company CzechAircraft, which is one of the world's premier light sport aircraft producer owned by Irish firm QucomHaps Holdings, will become a new holder of the plant in Otrokovice. The purchase will save about 170 people who are currently working there.
