Terme 3000, part of the Sava Turizem group, is active in the area of spa tourism. Investment in new hotel capacity in the Pomurska region will lead to the creation of 160 jobs by the end of 2007. Even though the Pomurska region suffers from one of the highest unemployment rates in Slovenia, the company expects difficulties to find suitable employees. Terme 3000 expects problems especially with finding 80 employees for a luxury five star hotel to be opened in September 2006. To resolve the problem, the company is co-operating with relevant educational institutions in Slovenia. Some of the vocational training and education will be done in the company, in the framework of the so-called Sava Academy. In 2006, Terme 3000 will also grant 15 scholarships to ease shortages of highly skilled personnel for their new ventures.
