Electronic Data Systems, the American information technology group, will probably be building an IT centre in Poland. It is also considering locations in the Czech Republic, in Romania, and in Hungary, but Jeffrey Heller, the president of EDS, has suggested that Poland is the most likely choice. If the plans are in fact finalised, the new EDS operations in Poland will employ up to 4000 specialists in IT and other areas.
