European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Deutsche BP, affiliate of BP, intends to cut about 500 jobs predominately in the marketing and sales departments. The job reduction will mostly affect the sites in Bochum (250) and Hamburg (100). The management and the works council already agreed on a social plan. With regard to personnel costs, the management expects to cut annual costs by EUR 50 million by the internal restructuring programme.
